Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA-OIC) Issa Khaireh Robleh received Dr. Al-Hasan Al-Manakhara, director of Prince Khaled Al Faisal Center for Moderation at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz University and his accompanying delegation at UNA headquarters in Jeddah.
Robleh reviewed the progress of UNA-OIC and its development plans in various aspects as well as the efforts exerted in promoting the work of the Union in serving the causes of of the Islamic world.
The two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation between UNA Training Center and Prince Khaled Al Faisal Center for Moderation. They exchanged views and ideas on developing media efforts exerted by the two sides to better serve the Islamic world.
Dr. Al-Manakhara and his delegation also toured various departments of the Union, including the Arabic, English, and French editorial departments, UNA Training Center, the photography and editing department, as well as the IT department, where they listened to an explanation of the tasks assigned to each department and its achievements.
He expressed delight over visiting UNA’s headquarters and meeting with its director general and staff, noting his admiration for the development of the Union. “Such progress will enable the Union to accomplish the goals for which it was established.”
Dr. Al-Manakhara stressed the importance of communication and cooperation between UNA and the Center, especially in exchanging media experiences, which will contribute to the advancement of the media work of the two parties and help better serve the Islamic world.
The meeting was attended by Zuhair Azhar, deputy chairman of the Board of Trustees of UNA Training Center and chairman of Distance Learning and Training (DLT), UNA’s strategic partner.
Ihab Taher, director of UNA’s Training Center and member of the Board of Trustees, explained about the facilities at the institution.
