The Riyadh-based Distance Learning and Training Company (DLT) Group, in partnership with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), recently launched the ALECSO e-learning platform for refugees.
DLT Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Eng. Zuhair bin Ali Azhar said that the platform aims to serve an estimated 13 million refugees in the conflict zones in the Arab world.
In a statement to the International Islamic News Agency (IINA), Eng. Azhar said the company is in the process of launching an integrated technical system to provide all the services in an interactive manner – not only instructional – taking into account the disabled in the refugee community.
“The technical solution system is a single platform hosting a database and an application, which serves relief organizations, governments and refugees in the fields of security, educational, medical and health, legal, relief, employment, housing, instructional and communication services, as well as reporting and data analysis,” he said.
The DLT chairman pointed out that this technical solution system, which is loaded on smart devices, represents the refugee’s file and identity. He also revealed that he will soon announce several partnerships with international and regional refugee-serving organizations.
